Not all in the Brain

讀大學的閱讀作業時讀到的一句話：

One would like to know whether the brain knows that it knows what it knows or whether it, too, is unaware of knowledge.

「人們想知道我們的腦袋是否認知到它對它所知道的事物有所認知，或者是它是否對自身的認知沒有察覺。」

雖然乍聽之下很彆扭，不過這句話所帶出的主題滿有趣的：我們的大腦是否意識到它所產生的想法？從中也延伸出自由意志（free will）相關的討論。

Often, as I read “Making up the Mind”, I could hear the sound of the author sawing the branch upon which he was sitting.

「當我在閱讀 Making up the Mind 這本書時，我時常聽見作者正在將他正坐着的那個樹枝鋦掉的聲音。」（意即「搬石頭砸自己腳」）

學術文章裡罵反駁其他學者的方式真是有夠藝術 XD。
