Changed the theme of this site!
Lately, I’ve grown bored of the ‘default Bear Blog style’ of the theme of this site, so I’ve decided to make some modifications on its CSS to give it a new look!
What I did was nowhere near original though: I just straight up copied the CSS code of the Bearming theme, posted on Robert Birming’s website. I then applied the Archipelago colour scheme of the theme for a nature-like atmosphere.
The original code was intended for Bear Blog users, so I was surprised to see how well it works1 on my site here, which is generated using Hugo, a totally different tool unrelated to Bear Blog.
Still, to be fair, I am actually aware that this shouldn’t be a problem since the code is written in CSS, and CSS works across the entire Internet, otherwise I wouldn’t have even tried to do this (LOL).
I guess this just (yet again) demonstrates the importance of open tech standards (like CSS and HTML), which enables the universal adoption of beneficial tools for the betterment of people.
